The university admits students twice a year; in spring and fall. Foreign students are welcome to apply.

 Admissions Requirements

 

M.A. Program ① Persons with a Bachelor’s degree from an authorized institution both in Korea and over abroad, or is a prospective B.A candidate.
② Persons acknowledged to have an equivalent of a B.A. or a higher degree of education by law.
※ Persons applying for a major other than the one stated on their B.A. may also apply.
Ph.D. Program ① Persons with a Master’s degree from an authorized institution both in Korea and over abroad, or is a prospective candidate.
② Persons acknowledged to have an equivalent of a M.A. or a higher degree of education by law.
※ Persons applying for a major other than the one stated on their M.A. may also apply.

※ All submission forms must be filled out in Korean.

Submission forms

 Evaluation

 

Documents Evaluation comprehensive examinations on submitted documents such as academic plan and academic transcripts.
Oral Evaluation comprehensive examinations of knowledge on major, aptitude, enthusiasm, sincerity and purpose of study.

Notifications for applicants

 

① Acceptance will be canceled if a student is found to have provided false information, forgery, or any other illegal procedures during the admissions process.
② The application form cannot be canceled or revised upon submission.
③ Applicants must submit all documents in originals.
④ Please note that all documents should be received by the deadline and late submissions will not be accepted.
⑤ Matters related to enrollment not mentioned in this outline will be handled by the Admissions Office of the University of North Korea Studies.
